Hello,

It's nice to see the face behind the powerful words. Good luck on your future plans. Take care.

Your use of video adumbrates, I think, the gradual marginalizing of the written word in favour of the oral in our society.

As the technology becomes easier to use, so it will be easier for the owners of websites to post videos rather than written pieces. More and more websites are reflecting this trend.

Think also of the growing popularity of the audio book.

I thought also of what you said about young people thinking they are invincible. This is why in wars, the bravest (and therefore the the most foolhardy) soldiers are usually those under 21.

I thought also of your comment (or, rather Peter Pan's) about death being the next great adventure. This could contain more truth than we think if we believe that we are spiritual beings having a bodily experience.

Jeremy,

I consider myself a multimedia author. Writers almost have to be these days. The visual component is huge with online media. Even bloggers who splice their posts with visuals seem to reach a larger audience. For me first it was the podcast that I began dabbling with, and now the video blog.

The point is there are vastly different levels of attention out there. Some people may read my blogs with and contemplate them, but by far the majority will only glance at them. There are visual learners and auditory learners, people who gravitate toward the various mediums differently. Therefore, in expanding my audience, I practice a sort of multimedia art.

I love Peter Pan.
